Our Past

Bring them back out,

all those memories

gathered in darkened gaps.

Those ones we brush past

when hunting for knowledge

or plucking out art,

only to find again

in another’s idle word.

      1. You’re welcome — it really touched me — very evocative! Will read more in days to come — you know how it is, I sometimes read a novel in two days nonstop until my eyes bleed and then, I can go for way to long without even reading a short story :). Your style suits me and so thank you for the opportunity to get some READING in :)! Best, R

        1. I know exactly what you mean, I do something quite similar and also find myself writing far too much flash fiction and poetry instead of my novels. It’s fantastic that you’re coming back though. Thank you very much and I hope you will enjoy what you read. There is quite a bit to chose from.
