New Year Haikus

Last year gone in smoke.

A nose against the window.

Goodbye and welcome.

 In bed we listen

to neighbors’ celebrations.

Our own more muted.

Auld land syne we sing

with no care for key or tune

with smiles and good cheer.

  1. I can really relate to your second haiku here. Hope those neighbours didn’t keep you awake too late. 🙂
