I thought it was beautiful and you stuck to the form of the tanka really well! The best poetry is the kind that takes you on an unexpected journey 🙂
Indeed. I love how expressive tankas and hiakus can be despite how restrictive the syllable count is.
True – in a way, they force you to make every word count!
