Like a dropped stitch
I didn’t see your absence
until much later,
when the narrowing become obvious
but I couldn’t find the courage
to unpick all that I had done.

Quite serious!!
I suppose so, but could you expand a little on what exactly you mean?
Small things when left as they are tend to create bigger issues than ever imagined! Like you said in the last two lines…
Like small things are innocuous and generally skip the eye, but when left same way, they come back with bigger issues which requires excess efforts which would otherwise have been miniscule….
Hope I made my point!!
Ah okay. That’s an interesting take. My intention when writing is veered more towards loosing someone from your life but not realizing that the space between you has grown so far until it’s too late.
I like your take on it though. The point of poetry is that it can be interpreted more than one way.
Yup! Totally agree…you can always explore new perspective to writings…like you would have never thought!
Glad we talked our way through it….
Have a great day!!
